The way of raising children in today’s time is called modern parenting, which has evolved with the help of new social changes like technology. In modern parenting, parents raise their children with more understanding and wisdom, as this helps in their mental and emotional development. The main focus of modern parenting is on the emotional well-being, education, and personality of children. One of the key features of Modern Parenting is positive parenting. This feature can be called the most important feature of Modern Parenting. Today’s parents support their children more. Parents do not punish children for doing wrong, as was the case in Traditional Parenting. They guide children in a positive way, and that is what positive parenting or good parenting is.

The third major feature of modern parenting is Helicopter parenting. In traditional parenting, parents are very much behind their children. They control or try to control everything. But nowadays, in modern parenting, parents have learned to strike a balance. This means that it is important to give children some freedom so that they can make their own decisions. In simple words, giving children some freedom is Helicopter parenting in modern parenting.

Traditional parenting follows a set of structured values and practices. It emphasizes respect, obedience, and discipline, often using strict rules to guide children. Traditional parents focus on teaching children to respect family values, authority, and societal norms.

In today’s modern society, technology plays a huge role in modern parenting. Excessive use of technology (excessive phone use, excessive social media use) affects the mental health of children. Therefore, they should be given screen time, and parents should limit the screen time.
